Making a Simple Hydrogen Generator from Washers

Clement Wong: There was this chemistry class back when i was in high school, my chemistry teacher asked us to bring our own battery to conduct this experiment. my classmates brought some AA batteries and the results were boring, small bubbles. me, the always madman in the class, brought a full size jump start battery from my dad. the water was heated up and the salt water got electrolyzed so quickly, the lab smells like a swimming pool in a hot summer, the water turned yellowish green due to the chloride trapped in it. we had to evacuate the lab eventually, it was a success with me earning a detention.
